A video authentically showed U.S. President Donald Trump singing a song, titled, “This Is Who Jesus Is to Me,” while playing a piano on the North Lawn of the White House.
A rumor users circulated online in February and March 2025 claimed a video showed U.S. President Donald Trump singing a song, titled, “This Is Who Jesus Is to Me,” while playing a piano on the North Lawn of the White House.
A reader emailed Snopes, “I just watched a video on YouTube that says ‘Trump singing ‘This is who Jesus is to me.” I don’t think it is real, probably AI? It is produced by ‘Christian Motivational Stories.’ Could you please check? Thank you.”
On Feb. 10, 2025, the Christian Motivational Stories YouTube channel published the in-question video. The clip received over 826,000 views, and opened with Trump appearing to say, “Many people have asked who Jesus is to me. Well, to put it simply, he is everything. He is my savior, my friend, my hope. And the very reason I am able to face each day with strength.” The song, sung in a deep, country music voice not sounding like Trump’s voice, begins at around the 4:35 mark in the video.
Searches of Google, Facebook and other websites located numerous users sharing the video on Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads and X. Also, the majority of the most-liked YouTube comments reflected remarks that people replying believed in the authenticity of the video. One of the most-liked comments read, “I am humbled and encouraged as a Christian, that a man of the stature of President Trump, can openly declare his testimony openly and proudly and worships the King of kings and the Lord of lords; Christ Jesus. Amen.”
However, the video did not authentically depict Trump playing a piano in front of the White House while singing a song about Jesus Christ, nor did it show him speaking about Christianity. The clip featured vocals created with artificial-intelligence (AI) technology, including a fake version of Trump’s voice speaking during the first several minutes, followed by a song possibly also generated with AI. A scan of the tune with the Shazam mobile app failed to identify the song. The owner or owners of the YouTube channel did not yet respond to an emailed request for comment.
The video’s description featured a disclaimer explaining, “This song and video were created with the assistance of A.I. technology and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the artist(s) portrayed. The opinions or messages conveyed do not reflect the artist(s)’ personal views, and they had no involvement in this production. Our sole intention is to uplift and inspire by sharing a message of faith and hope with all who listen.”
A second disclaimer displayed on the channel’s main page described its mission as promoting Christianity:

Other fake videos hosted by Christian Motivational Stories that also received hundreds of thousands of views featured Trump and his adviser Elon Musk singing “Walking With Jesus”; Trump and his daughter Ivanka performing “Jesus Is the Way”; and Trump and his wife, first lady Melania Trump, singing “Jesus Is the Answer.”
For further reading, Trump himself previously shared on his Truth Social account a video with the repeated words, “So God made Trump,” spoken with an AI-generated version of radio broadcaster Paul Harvey’s voice.
