Fans said goodbye to FBI: International following a surprise cancellation after four seasons.
The second scripted FBI spinoff followed an international task force operating out of Budapest.
The Fly Team responded to calls whenever American citizens encountered trouble.
The show underwent some changes throughout the years.
From the loss of original cast members to Luke Kleintank’s departure ahead of what would ultimately be the final season, some things shifted.
However, it has been luckier than many others because several original cast members saw it to the end, and the FBI Franchise never guarantees that kind of consistency.
Among these original characters is Carter Redwood’s Andre Raines.
Andre was that kind of character who you are always aware of but never quite learned much about, let alone warranted a high investment.

With strong personalities like Scott Forrester, Wesley Mitchell, and even Amanda Tate, Andre usually was lost somewhere in the fold.
After four seasons, however, it became clear that Andre was quite underrated, and he deserved more than the show gave him.
Andre Was FBI: International’s Action Afficionado
Being a show about law enforcement, FBI: International should have featured more action scenes.

However, given the amount of traveling the Fly Team had to do, the series spent most of its time on other things.
From coordinating investigations, chasing down leads, and taking the lead of a country’s law enforcement, it cost the series time it could have spent delivering action.
Effectively, the show never really managed to be as thrilling as FBI or FBI: Most Wanted.
However, it put in a little effort to deliver decent action, and a lot of that is thanks to Andre and Carter Redwood.

Andre was the team’s de facto muscle, always ready to take on the bad guys.
His scenes were elevated, whether it was hand-to-hand combat or gun battles.
He had a go-getter attitude where he didn’t back down from a challenge.
Much of this could not have come across were it not for Redwood’s dedication to the character.

Among all the cast members, he had the most physically demanding role, and his action sequences were the most complex.
Andre Would Fit In Well on FBI
Out of all the FBI series, FBI: Most Wanted was the most thrilling.
It was also my first choice for the character, but since CBS cancelled it, the mothership would be the next best option.
This is not to discount FBI’s action prowess since it also has some of the best action scenes of all three shows.

Andre would be a great addition to Jubal’s team as a field agent.
New York always has a fresh supply of bad guys who need their asses kicked, and he’s more than willing to do it.
The problem is that the New York team is now complete with the addition of the new special agent Dani.
However, if the show were to decide to expand the field team, they should seriously consider pulling Andre from wherever he ended up after that series finale and have him join the New York field office.

He would give Maggie and OA a run for their money, and wouldn’t that be fun to see?
All CBS needs to do is recall Redwood quickly before another production snaps him up because he has all the qualities of an action star.
TV Fanatic runs on caffeine, cats, and your support.
Leave a comment with what you think. Share if you want CBS to bring Andre back. We appreciate you either way — truly.
