HIDIVE has officially unveiled Petals of Reincarnation as its newest anime co-production. Adapted from Mikihisa Konishi’s long-running supernatural action manga, the series is currently in production and marks another major step forward in HIDIVE’s expanding slate of original and exclusive titles.
“We’re thrilled to announce the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Petals of Reincarnation as HIDIVE’s newest co-production,” said John Ledford, President of HIDIVE. “Petals of Reincarnation has been beloved by readers for more than a decade, and HIDIVE, together with the entire Production Committee, looks forward to bringing the manga series to life as a supernatural action anime!”

Serialized since May 2014, Petals of Reincarnation follows Touya Senji, a talentless high school student who learns that true talent isn’t developed but inherited through past lives. The catch? Gaining access to a former life’s skills requires self-inflicted death and the mysterious aid of the “Stem of Reincarnation.” Blending high-concept fantasy with psychological tension, the manga has captivated readers with its unique premise and emotional intensity.
The series is published in MAGCOMI and Monthly Comic Garden (MAG Garden) and is available in English on the Mangamo mobile app. Since its debut, Petals of Reincarnation has spanned 21 volumes and sold over 3 million copies in print. The anime adaptation was initially announced in Japan on August 1, 2024, as part of the manga’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
