WEBTOON has big news for TMNT and Cyberpunk 2077 fans.
WEBTOON announced at SDCC today that it will release reformatted versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin and Cyberpunk 2077 in August. WEBTOON and Dark Horse revealed their partnership back in June when they unveiled a new slate of comics set to arrive on the platform, although they didn’t announce release dates at the time. WEBTOON had already confirmed its partnership with IDW Publishing earlier in April.
Kevin Eastman, Peter Laird, and Tom Waltz wrote the series, with illustrations by Ben Bishop and Esau & Isaac Escorza. IDW Publishing released it as a five-issue miniseries. The story follows the lone surviving Turtle who is seeking justice for the family he lost in a devastated New York City. The series promises “longtime friends becoming enemies and new allies emerging in the most unexpected places.”
The Last Ronin will join other IDW titles that are currently on WEBTOON, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Beneath the Trees, and Godzilla: Unnatural Disasters.

CD Projekt Red developed Cyberpunk 2077, an action RPG released in 2020, which has since inspired multiple adaptations. Aside from the comics, Cyberpunk 2077 has also inspired a card game and an anime spin-off that has become extremely popular.

TMNT: The Last Ronin will debut on August 23 on WEBTOON, while Cyberpunk 2077 will debut on August 8.
