Okay, so… here’s the thing. For a while now, the internet has felt—how do I put this—off. Like walking into your own house and realizing someone rearranged your furniture while you were gone. Technically still yours, but it doesn’t really feel like it anymore, you know?
The platforms we use every day—Twitter (sorry, “X”), Instagram, YouTube—they started out feeling kind of democratic. Like, “Hey, anyone can post, build something, go viral.” But somewhere along the line, the vibe shifted. Suddenly it’s less “build your corner of the internet” and more “play by our rules, or you’re shadowbanned into oblivion.” And don’t even get me started on the algorithm roulette. 🙄
So yeah, I started looking into Web3. Mostly out of curiosity at first. Then frustration. Then, honestly, a little desperation. I mean, I make stuff. I write, I post, I share ideas. But I got tired of doing all that just to help boost some mega-corp’s ad revenue while I get, what? A few likes and maybe a dopamine hit if I’m lucky?
