We now have a trailer for the much-anticipated adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s Hamnet, which is about the “powerful story of love and loss that inspired the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece, Hamlet.”
It’s directed by Academy Award-winning writer/director Chloé Zhao, and the screenplay is a collaboration between Zhao and O’Farrell. It’s produced by Steven Spielberg, Liza Marshall, Pippa Harris, Nicolas Gonda, and Sam Mendes.
The cast includes Paul Mescal as William Shakespeare and Jessie Buckley as Shakespeare’s wife, Agnes. Emily Watson plays Mary, and Joe Alwyn plays Bartholomew.
Hamnet releases in theaters on Thanksgiving. You can watch the trailer below.
