IFC Films has released the teaser trailer for 100 Nights of Hero, the romantic fantasy film based on Isabel Greenberg‘s graphic novel of the same name, starring Emma Corrin, Maika Monroe, and Nicholas Galitzine.
When a charming house guest (Nicholas Galitzine) arrives at a remote castle, the delicate dynamic between a neglectful husband, his innocent bride Cherry (Maika Monroe), and their devoted maid Hero (Emma Corrin), is thrown into chaos.
Directed by Julia Jackman (Bonus Track), 100 Nights of Hero will premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday, September 6 (where it will mark the closing event of the festival), and be released in theaters on December 5. As well as Corrin, Monroe, and Galitzine, the film also features Charli XCX, Felicity Jones, Richard E. Grant, Amir El-Masry, Markella Kavenagh, and Varada Sethu.
In an EW exclusive, Corrin describes 100 Nights of Hero as the type of film that makes them “love my job. Julia has brought the beloved graphic novel to the screen with so much feeling, heart, and vision. Who doesn’t love an imaginary medieval world? Especially one containing Maika Monroe, Nick Galitzine, and Charli XCX.”
Monroe adds, “From the moment I first read the script, I was immediately drawn to the story. After meeting Julia and hearing her unique vision for the film, I knew I had to be involved. Filming in a castle added a sense of magic on set, and the amazing cast and crew truly made the project unforgettable.”
