When all is said and done, Big Brother Season 27 will go down as one of the most polarizing seasons in history.

The series has suffered many setbacks over the years, with fan reaction being less than positive.

The latest drama comes in the form of Rachel Reilly being evicted as a part of the White Locust twist.

It’s been a shocking development that has prompted fans, alums, and even the current cast still in the house to draw comparisons between the series and The Challenge.

Big Brother is Screwing Up a Great Format

At one point, Big Brother relied heavily on the social aspects of the game, and while competitions are fun, they’ve detracted too much from what the show was once well-known for.

Following Rachel’s elimination, Lauren won her second Head of Household of the season, which has also set her up as a big target in the final few weeks of the game.

She wasted no time in nominating Ashley, Morgan, and Will for eviction.

These nominations were not too surprising, given that none of the three on the block are actively working with Lauren.

Lauren has, for the most part, stayed to her side of the house, working with the likes of Kelley, Riley, Katherine, and Vince.

With Riley and Katherine gone, her pickings for the block are slim, so she knows that she has to get someone out of the game that’s against her.

Putting Morgan up is a good move to get Vince back on her side full-time. Vince has been weaseling around every crevice of the house, and, frankly, it’s about time that he picks a side.

As TV Fanatic previously reported, Morgan won her second straight Veto of the season, which will help her escape the block.

The big question was what Lauren would do now that one of her nominations was removing themselves from the block.

Vince Is the Biggest Disappointment

When the feeds returned over the weekend, Vince was pulling double-duty to get Keanu nominated in Morgan’s place.

At the same time, Keanu was fighting tooth and nail to make Lauren see sense, but Lauren made up her mind without a second thought.

She quickly told Kelley and Vince that Keanu would be her replacement nominee. This is a wild move, especially when you consider that Keanu kept her safe last week.

But this season of Big Brother is proving to be a non-event, so at this point, it’s par for the course if one of the season’s most-talked-about players is put out right after Rachel.

So, where did things land on Monday afternoon when the Veto meeting played out?

Morgan removed herself from the block.

Lauren nominated Keanu in her place, and he joins Ashley and Will as this week’s final nominations.

There’s still a BB Blockbuster and an eviction to come, but the Mastermind’s Month of Madness could shake things up again.

We don’t quite know how this will shake out, but hey, at least this season is nearing the finish line.

If you’re also tiring of Big Brother but are yearning for the good old days, maybe the upcoming season of The Amazing Race will be up your street.

The series will pivot this fall to feature a cast entirely made up of Big Brother alums.
