Marvel Comics kept up a string of 2026 announcements during its “Next Big Thing” panel at New York Comic Con on Saturday, revealing a new Iron Man ongoing written by Joshua Williamson and drawn by Carmen Carnero, slated for debut in January.

“I am a huge Iron Man fan. A massive Iron Man fan…and I knew it was time. I absolutely had to do this,” said Williamson. “Part of our tagline for this book is that Tony Stark is the most dangerous weapon in the Marvel Universe. When he went into the cave, Tony built the armor…but after I thought about it more, the armor wasn’t what he built in the cave. Tony built Tony.”

Madame Masque was teased as the main villain and additional characters like Captain America, Modok, and Pepper Potts are teased in an issue #1 promotional variant cover by Adam Kubert.

At San Diego Comic-Con in July, Marvel revealed Ultimate Endgame, a five-issue limited series debuting in December that follows the return of the Maker, so it’s not surprising to see the current Ultimate Universe series ending. It seems everything will conclude in April, when the final issue of the limited series is released.

Dungeons of Doom & Sorcerer Supreme

At its “Next Big Thing” panel at SDCC ’25, Marvel revealed a preview image declaring, “The Sorcerer Supreme has fallen. Long live the Sorcerer Supreme.” The image depicts a large group of magic-wielding Marvel characters with the cryptic teaser that “succession starts” this December.

We know now that this was a teaser for Sorcerer Supreme, a new series spinning out of One World Under Doom debuting in December—but Marvel has yet to reveal the creative team, even in its December solicits.

At NYCC on Saturday, Marvel revealed another teaser by artist Devmalya Pramanik and colorist Rachelle Rosenberg. This one shows a close-up on some of the characters with a focus on Gambit, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, Niko Minoru, Storm, and the Invisible Woman. It features the same cryptic text.

In addition to the new Sorcerer Supreme teaser, Marvel also revealed the three-issue Dungeons of Doom limited series debuting in January. It also follows the events of One World Under Doom and is written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Benjamin Percy, with art by Carlos MagnoRobert GillJustin Mason, and Georges Jeanty.

“Ben Percy is a kindred spirit, and we both love horror books,” said Johnson. “Without spoiling the events that lead up to this series, there’s going to be a big conflict in Latveria, and all these factions end up in a place they didn’t ever know that was there.

“It gives us a set up for a horror anthology in the Marvel Universe, where we’ll see various factions of the Marvel Universe opening these doors and finding these horrors that Doom has been keeping hidden,” he explained.
