Let’s break down everything that happened on “Eleven Minutes.”

(Disney/Jessica Perez)

We open with a dashing older gentleman walking on the boardwalk and finding a nice cafe to go to. The server is incredibly nice, and she shows him to a clean table and intends to find someone who will clean up the rest of the area.

He asks her if he looks okay, and she tells him that he looks great. He’s content and opens up a box with a ladybug brooch that must be intended to give to someone. A mysterious person puts a plastic bag over his head and suffocates him.

At home, Morgan is thinking about hiring someone to babysit and help around the house more. She’s preparing to get back to work full-time.

Ava catches her off guard when she says that she wants to hear an update about her father. Morgan is speechless and doesn’t know what to say. But she heads out.

At the crime scene, they get the rundown of Nathan, the victim. He’s still alive, but it’s possible he could be brain-dead. THE EMT at the scene says he’s a frequent flyer. He was clumsy and always had incidents. They liked him and wanted them to figure out who hurt him.

(Disney/Jessica Perez)

They talk to the hostess and survey the scene. Morgan figures out that the crime scene was staged so they could get Nathan to sit specifically at the table where he was attacked.

They head to his apartment next. Nathan was a gambler and in financial trouble, so it’s possible that someone after him was a result of his not paying his debts.

While at the apartment, someone tries to break into Nathan’s apartment. When Karadec opens the door, the guy attacks Karadec and runs. Karadec gives chase, and it’s pretty epic. Meanwhile, Soto isn’t answering her phone for the backup.

Morgan heads out on the balcony and warns the getaway driver that cops are there. He takes off, and Karadec catches up to Marco, the attacker, and he tackles him and arrests him.

Morgan suspects that Marco isn’t who they think, and they head to a barbershop where a guy named Ray has an illicit business in the back. He doesn’t want to talk to them at first, but Morgan clocks that the machines he’s using for his card tables are fixed.

(Disney/Christine Bartolucci))

She figures out that Ray sent someone to kill Nathan, but they were too late, so Ray’s not actually responsible for Nathan’s death. Morgan realizes that Nathan had Ray’s social security number, and he forced Nathan to put him down as a beneficiary to collect on his life insurance after he died, to pay off his debts.

Ray claims that Nathan set that up himself. They speak to Nathan’s daughter next. She was estranged from him, and she didn’t know anything about an insurance policy. She says that they reconnected, and they spent more time together recently than they ever did. The ladybug pendant was supposed to be hers because it was his nickname for her.

She thought they were meeting at another location and was surprised when he didn’t show up. Morgan figures out that Nathan was planning on killing himself, but someone beat him to it.

Morgan is taking this case hard because she’s thinking about Ava wanting to reconcile with her father. She opens up to Kardec about it, and he tells her maybe she should take Ava at her word regarding wanting to be treated like an adult.

Morgan and Karadec talk to Jessica, the daughter, again. They tell her the theory about Nathan planning his own death so he can keep her safe. She’s pregnant, and he was excited about that as well.

She mentioned that Nathan saw a cardiologist a lot.

(Disney/Jessica Perez)

Morgan takes the kids to school and gets there early enough to have a side chat with Ava. She updates her about the Roman/Arthur situation, and Ava is thankful to have more information. But she seems to be processing something.

They figure out that the duck sound the hostess heard was Nathan’s alarm on his phone. Apparently, they wanted Nathan down long enough to be brain-dead, but still viable for transplant. They wanted Nathan’s heart.

Soto and Karadec speak to the EMTs about it. Morgan suspects that Nathan was originally in on killing himself and giving up his heart, but he changed his mind when he learned that his daughter was having a baby. So the person he arranged things with killed him.

Karadec, Soto, and Morgan talk to the transplant committee and the surgeon, but everyone is mum on who got the heart, and they seem scared to say anything.

Ava gets arrested. Karadec joins Morgan at the scene, and they try to smooth things over. Ava vandalized her father’s mural, and the owner wants to press charges.

(Disney/Christine Bartolucci)

Morgan freaks out, and she makes a show of throwing paint too, getting it on the arresting officer. Both she and Ava end up in jail until Karadec gets them out.

Later, at the house, Morgan and Ava talk. Ava says that it’s way worse knowing that her father has been alive this whole time, one state over, and she’s struggling with him being away from her for her whole life. Morgan reassures her again and says that Roman must have his reasons.

She even tells Morgan about the case. Ava examines all the photos from the case and recognizes one of the pictures. One of the photos is over a year old, so it changes the timeline. All of the Hollywood producer’s photos on social media are old, but he’s posting them like they’re recent because he’s hiding that he’s sick.

Karadec and Daphne show up at Carson Woods (the producer) house to talk to him. He paid for Nathan’s heart, but the doctor there said it wasn’t the best match, so he’s flying to Utah for another one.

Morgan tells them that someone stole Nathan’s heart from the hospital. Now, they have a few hours to track this person down.

Soto wants to talk to the transplant head again, so they interrogate her. She talks about Carter Woods threatening to cut them off from millions of dollars in funding, which is why she worked with him. She tells Karadec and Soto that Nathan wanted his heart to go to a specific person. They deleted the name of that person when she arranged for Carter to get the heart.

(Disney/Christine Bartolucci))

The person is still on the transplant list, so they need a process of elimination to figure out who the heart was supposed to go to in order to figure out who the killer stole the heart for.

Morgan figures out that the person was on Albuterol, the one paramedic was the person stealing Albuterol for his mother, arranged things for his mother to get the heart, and killed Nathan when he backed out of their deal.

Christopher, the paramedic, did everything to get his mother to the heart and save his dying mother. Now that they have solved it, Morgan is devastated that it means they’re stopping this woman from getting the heart.

His mother begs to see her son. Karadec arranges it.

Morgan gives Jessica the pendant, and she says that it was meant for her daughter.

Karadec shows Morgan where the heart went, and it makes her feel better.
