Last week, I was contemplating typing up a fiery rant about the lack of updates on The Dutton Ranch — the latest entry in the bursting-at-the-seams Yellowstone universe.
Thankfully, I didn’t have to go that far because Paramount+ has finally unveiled all the scoop we’ll ever need for Beth & Rip’s post-Yellowstone team-up.
The good news off the bat is that The Dutton Ranch is coming soon. Like, very soon.

The Dutton Ranch Season 1 premieres on Friday, May 15, 2026. Clearly, the streaming platform believes we’ve waited too long because we’re getting two episodes on day one.
The opening episodes will also air in a linear window on Paramount Network, which makes sense since the original Yellowstone called the cable network home.
Of course, you’d never believe that’s where it all began when you consider just how much everything else has switched over to Paramount+.
The Dutton Ranch finds Beth and Rip putting down roots in Texas and building new enemies along the way, at least according to the first footage.

“As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together – far from the ghosts of Yellowstone – they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire,” the tantalizing logline teases.
“In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.”
The Dutton Ranch Steers the Yellowstone Franchise in a New Direction
Since Yellowstone went off the air in 2024, the franchise has taken a different direction than we’ve been accustomed to.
Marshals, a spinoff featuring Luke Grimes’ Kayce Dutton, was announced well after Dutton Ranch, has already premiered and is even renewed for Season 2.

The series takes on a more procedural approach, which has seemingly earned it a wealth of new viewers.
Let’s get back to The Dutton Ranch because it promises to be as dark as Yellowstone, which is a very good move.
Beth and Rip have always played in the grey area and been unafraid to take big swings in the name of keeping those closest to them safe.
Now that they’re in a different sandbox without the Dutton name scaring some enemies away, they’ll have to work smarter to continue to build the life they want for themselves.

The best aspect of the trailer is that they do a lot of things together, and I bet none of the people who get in their way will be ready for the one-two-punch that is Beth and Rip.
Their relationship has survived so many hurdles because they understand each other and collectively cause chaos to frighten their enemies.
A whole series centered around that might sound exhausting, but the trailer is everything I wanted from this type of spinoff and more.
The cast is perfect, too.

Joining Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are Anette Bening, Ed Harris, Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, and Natalie Alyn Lind.
It doesn’t get much better than this, Yellowstone Fanatics!
