As previously announced, superstar team of writer Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee will reunite to continue their Hush saga in the new storyline entitled “H2SH” beginning next month in the pages of Batman #158 available in comic stores on March 26. DC has not only unveiled preview pages but also a trailer.

The members of the original Hush creative team will also be involved in this new storyline including inker Scott Williams, colorist Alex Sinclair and letterer Richard Starkings. Though DC is keeping “H2SH” under tight wraps, the publisher has revealed preview pages from Batman #158 and unveiled a special trailer.

As fans are well aware, the original Hush storyline introduced the new titular mystery villain who sought to destroy the Caped Crusader through the ultimate master plan. Hush’s machinations took readers into a deep dive into the world of Batman and beyond, allowing Jim Lee to draw a who’s who of the Dark Knight’s rogues gallery in his quintessential style. By the end it was eventually revealed that Hush was in fact Bruce Wayne’s childhood friend Tommy Elliot. Since then, the character has regularly appeared over the years to torment the Dark Knight and even appear in outside media.

As Jim Lee said in an interview with THR, this Hush sequel is actually a two part story with the first part running from Batman #158 through August’s Batman #163. The final six issues will be released sometime next year in 2026. Given Lee’s incredibly busy schedule running DC in his duties as president, publisher and chief creative officer, the break is completely understandable. Last week at ComicsPro, the publisher announced the regular monthly Batman ongoing series will relaunch under the new creative team of writer Matt Fraction and artist Jorge Jiménez. Since both the original Hush storyline was published in the main Batman book as will “H2SH,” it seems safe to assume Fraction and Jiménez will take a break in their run for Loeb and Lee to finish up their storyline.

In the meantime, enjoy preview pages from Batman #158 well as an additional sneak peek into Batman #159.
