It’s time to say goodbye to Lakeview.
One of Prime Video’s most original series, Upload, is logging off for the final time, and it’s bittersweet in more ways than one.
Not only are we parting ways with this fun series at the end of the summer, but it’s with fewer episodes than we would’ve expected or wanted.
Our last foray into the digital afterlife will consist of a four-part series finale.
Yes, that means that we’ll only get four episodes to wrap up Upload’s fourth and final season.
Fortunately, Prime Video will drop all four episodes at once, making for a grand binge sendoff, and the release is a worldwide affair with 250 countries having access to the finale at the same time.
At least if we have to say goodbye, we can all do it together.
The Upload Season 3 Finale set up an epic return for this series, as just when it seemed as if everything would be on the up and up, their worlds were turned upside down.

Nathan, Other Nathan, Nora, and the gang got a win when Ingrid took the stand during the massive lawsuit against Horizen and told the truth about them stealing Nathan’s code to make Freeyond, destroying lives, and other nefarious things.
Fortunately, the families won the lawsuit, and all seemed well.
Ingrid and Not Nathan got engaged, planning to live a happily ever after, and Nora and Real Nathan were finally preparing to focus on their relationship and take a deserved break.
But life, or the afterlife, had other plans! Horizen raided Lakeview, rounded up many avatars, and took both Nathans. By the end of the finale, a Nathan calls Nora, Ingrid, and Nathan’s mother, telling them what happened and says that they killed the other Nathan.
Of course, the problem is that we don’t know which Nathan survived.

The final season teases an epic conclusion where sentient AI rapidly turns evil, threatening to wipe out Lakeview (and the world!).
Meanwhile, greedy executives, lingering mysteries, plus heartbreak in virtual and real life run rampant.
The characters face test like never before. And saving humanity from deletion requires one last team-up.
In an age when too many series exit without proper sendoffs, we can at least be grateful that we get one last hurrah with this delightful, quirky series.
It’s just too bad that it’s such a short season!

Given that episodes typically run a half hour each, this series finale event will feel like a standard two-hour movie. So, at least Upload is going out in style.
We can expect the full cast returning: Robbie Amell as Nathan, Andy Allo as Nora, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, and Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy.
The four-part series finale airs on Monday (Yes, a Monday), August 25 on Prime Video.
We know it’s not cool to ask for help, but here we are, just trying to keep afloat in an AI-fueled world just like Upload. 😉
A comment, maybe sharing if you’ll watch the final season, lets us know someone’s out there, and a share helps more than you’d think. Either way, thanks for sticking with us.
