I adored The Cooking Gene and Kosher Soul, so as soon as I heard about Michael W. Twitty’s new southern cookbook, it jumped to the top of my wishlist. Twitty’s Recipes from the American South delves into Southern cooking fundamentals, emphasizing the history of the region’s iconic cuisine.

Vietnam: The Cookbook by Anaïs Ca Dao van Manen (October 22nd)

Anaïs Ca Dao van Manen’s new cookbook, Vietnam, is a deep dive into the country’s diverse cuisine. From sauteed baby clams to mung bean dumplings, the recipes give readers a tour of an incredible range of dishes. Plus, the photos are stunning.

The Anthony Bourdain Reader: New, Classic, and Rediscovered Writing by Anthony Bourdain, edited by Kimberly Witherspoon (October 28th)

This one-of-a-kind anthology features nonfiction and fiction writing from Anthony Bourdain. While Bourdain became well-known for his award-winning food shows, he made his name with his memoir, Kitchen Confidential. Bourdain loved writing in several different modes and genres, which is highlighted by editor Kimberly Witherspoon’s selection for this collection.
