Each year, the Star Trek Universe celebrates Star Trek Day. The annual event commemorates the September 8th broadcast premiere of the first episode of Gene Roddenberry’s Wagon Train to the Stars in 1966. In order to acknowledge the show’s cultural impact, Trekkies across the world celebrate the day annually, with Star Trek‘s parent companies often getting in on the action by announcing the franchise’s latest and most exciting news.

This year was no different. With the commencement of Star Trek Day 2025, StarTrek.com announced the launch of the franchise’s year-long fan-centric anniversary celebration in preparation for the 60th anniversary of Star Trek on September 8, 2026.

The 60th anniversary celebration—which officially kicks off in January 2026—celebrates “Space for Everybody,” which will extend “an open invitation to celebrate the future that Star Trek aspires to – a future of HOPE, a future of EXPLORATION and a future where we rise to the challenge to BE BOLD,” according to the official announcement.

Here is everything that was announced on Star Trek Day 2025. Hopefully, there will be more details revealed soon, especially about what readers can expect from Star Trek‘s new partnerships with WEBTOON and The Lego Group.

Star Trek x WEBTOON partnership announced

There are only a few details on what readers can expect from the Star Trek x WEBTOON partnership announcement. The only details I could find was yesterday’s announcement on StarTrek.com, reading, “Star Trek will enter the digital comic space with WEBTOON in 2026, engaging their audience of approximately 155 million monthly active users across 150+ countries, connecting with new audiences by launching original stories that touch on universal genres and themes based in the world of Star Trek.”

Star Trek: Scouts premieres

Launched on September 9, 2025, was Star Trek: Scouts, a brand-new, original animated YouTube-first series that marks the franchise’s first series aimed at a preschool audience. Developed and produced by Nickelodeon Digital Studio in association with CBS Studios, the series “follows three 8-year-old friends — JR, Sprocket and Roo — as they train to become future Starfleet Explorers by going on epic, out-of-this-world missions that push them to ‘discover, grow and boldly go!’”

The first two episodes of the short-form Star Trek series (3-4 min each) are available now on Nickelodeon’s Blaze and the Monster Machines YouTube channel. The remainder of the 20-episode series will continue to roll out into 2026.

“Paradise,” the first episode of the Star Trek: Khan audio drama, debuted

Star Trek: Khan, an all-new scripted podcast expanding the Star Trek universe, also launched on September 8, 2025. New episodes of the series will be available weekly on Mondays through November 3rd on all major podcast platforms and the official Star Trek YouTube channel.

Read the official description of the series:

Star Trek: Khan explores the untold events on Ceti Alpha V, chronicling Khan’s descent from a superhuman visionary into the vengeful villain seen in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Naveen Andrews (Lost) voices the iconic role of Khan Noonien Singh, and is joined by a stellar cast, including Wrenn Schmidt (For All Mankind) as Lieutenant Marla McGivers, Sonya Cassidy (Reacher) as Dr. Rosalind Lear, with Star Trek veteran Tim Russ (Star Trek: Voyager) reprising his role as Ensign Tuvok and the legendary George Takei (Star Trek) as Captain Sulu.

Star Trek announces its first collaboration with LEGO

Perhaps the most exciting announcement to come out of yesterday was that LEGO and Paramount have announced their first-ever collaboration to bring the iconic world of Star Trek to life in brick form. According to the official announcement, “The LEGO Group and Star Trek have strong shared values of imagination, exploration and building a better tomorrow, making this an ideal partnership for fans of all ages.”

While not many details have been revealed yet, the companies promise more information is coming soon.
