On Friday at New York Comic Con, the Marvel Comics X-Men panel revealed the next era in storytelling for mutantkind, Shadows of Tomorrow, including multiple limited and ongoing series debuting in 2026.
The X-Men panel featured VP and executive editors Nick Lowe and Tom Brevoort, editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski, and creators Jed MacKay, Ryan Stegman, Ashley Allen, Eve L. Ewing, and Ben Percy. A Shadows of Tomorrow promotional image by Stefano Caselli gave attendees a sneak peek at what’s to come; the art will serve as the cover for a currently unannounced X-Men title.
Three limited series will debut in early 2026 as part of the Shadows of Tomorrow era, starring Rogue, Magik and Colossus, and Cyclops. Rogue has been announced at five issues, but Magik & Colossus and Cyclops do not have a set number of issues at time of writing. It’s worth noting that as of now, of these three titles, only Rogue #1 has an issue synopsis.
