But for the scene-by-scene recap and basic details? Stick around, and check things out below!

(Lori Allen/NBC)

Kevin is a bit frustrated that he’s working skeleton crew when he sees Burzek in the parking lot and they ask him why he’s wearing his cop uniform.

He figures he did something wrong and Trudy is holding a grudge. While there, he reunites with Tasha Fox, who he went to Academy with. She works with the rangers, but she’s there for now, and she’s talking about relocating to Miami because she’s tired of Chicago.

They’re part of an initiative that Devlin is leading to patrol downtown and have an increased presence to deter crime.

While partnered with Fox patrolling, an explosion at a real estate building takes place. Fox tends to the outside scene, while Kevin heads inside to clear people out. He clears floors, and makes it to the fourth floor where he sees multiple people affected by the blast.

He picks up the one lady moaning, and her scalp is coming off in his hand, as he carries her to the meds outside.

(Lori Allen/NBC)

Her employee sees them and asks if she’s okay and Kevin interviews him as the guy shares that someone delivered a package that was shoe box shaped. Fox interviews a woman close by who says the same thing.

Voight comes on the scene, and backs Kevin when he says they’re on the case.

Kevin notices a Black guy who seems shady who takes off running when Kevin and Fox chase after him. He heads into an underpass somewhere, and Kevin gets winged on the arm while chasing after him. Fox disappears, and Kevin goes off on her when he catches the perp and she shows up too late.

They interview the guy who ran in part because they were looking at him but also his ex works in the buildinng and has a restraining order, so he wasn’t supposed to be there.

It’s a bust there, but Kim and the others figure out that it was a targeted hit and that becuase of whatever deal they real estate company was working with the city government, it pissed people off enough to get threats.

(Lori Allen/NBC)

They find some new footage, and Kevin puts Fox with Ruzek and goes with Kim. Fox notices and goes off on him about it because she knows he’s benching her. Kevin tells Kim that he feels like because Fox is leaving soon, she’s slow rolling him so as not to get hurt and make it out of there.

Kim wonders if Kevin is really just bummed that Fox is taking that Miami job.

They show up at the home of one of the possible targets and piece together that the person may be on the way. Kevin keeps Kim from radio-ing in the car they see that matches a description. But a lady on her phone walks by and Kevin tries to stop her as Mahone, one of the targets pulls up too.

Another explosion takes place as the car blows up.

The team combs through more of the footage again. Fox is the one to find footage of the bomber delivering the package in the brown hoodie that one of the witnesses talked about. She sees that the first guy they brought in actually got a photo of him when he was taking pictures.

She and Kevin have to track him down, and she knows where to go. She heads to one of her connects, a grocery shop owner who she has dirt on, and she gets him to tell her where to find the guy. But he mentions something about a jacking and having her back when it mattered.

(Lori Allen/NBC)

It prompts Kevin to ask Fox about the incident. She got sued when she pursued a stolen car with a baby in it because the mother didn’t like that her car got destroyed in the process, and she says that no one had her back.

This is something that resonates with Kevin a bit, going through something and not necesairly having the support. He previously also mentioned how people always leave him behind.

They find the guy and use his allegiance to the city that experienced a domestic terrorist attack to get him to turn over the photos. And Intelligence identifies the guy thanks to Randy’s pictures.

Intelligence raids the bomber’s apartment and finds a few manifestos on his computer that he hadn’t posted yet, but he’s not there. When Fox is watching the video again, she notices that someone was filming for him.

She finds something else in the background that helps them figure out where it was filmed, some guy named Ben’s apartment. They haul Ben in, show him what the perp has been doing all this time, and he says that the guy is off.

They’re trying to figure out the next target, and Ben says that the bomber spoke about making a statement at his middle school.

The bomber has issues with real estate companies buying up all the property and turning everything into condos for rich people at the expense of the city and its patrons.

They head to the school, do a two-by-two pairing to survey the area. Kevin is with Fox. They head inside and find the perp who takes off running. They give chase, and at some point he starts firing at Kevin and Fox disappears.

But then Kevin hears shooting from the other side, and Tasha is shooting at the perp. Kevin joins her to cover her, and Tasha gets shot in the arm. Kevin gets the kill shot in.

Kevin and Tasha flirt at the ambo, but she tells him to go back to work. However, when she’s done getting bandaged up, he’s waiting for her.

(Lori Allen/NBC)

They joke about him joining her in Miami. He says he never really gave any thought about where he would go if he could because he was always focused on his niece, nephew, and father. He didn’t have the time to think about those things.

Kevin tells her they can start with a drink first. But she has a different idea. When they get to his apartment, she starts making out with him, strips, and pushes him into his bedroom on the bed.

When he wakes up the next morning, Fox is gone, but she left him a note on an orange inviting him to Miami to see her again.

He contemplates it while he gets a text, presumably about another case.
