DSTLRY’s best-selling series of the year, Galactic, doesn’t even debut until November—but today, The Beat can provide an exclusive look at process art its second issue hitting shelves next year.
Sci-fi series Galactic is written by Curt Pires, illustrated by Amilcar Pinna, colored by Lee Loughridge, and lettered by Micah Meyers. Described as the love child of George Lucas and Quentin Tarantino, the series follows a bounty hunter hired to return a Princess from “a death-bender on a hippy planet.” Unfortunately for both of them, they end up in the middle of an intergalactic war… which, of course, creates the perfect circumstances for romance.
“I’m blown away by the support for Galactic,” said Pires in a statement for The Beat. “I know this has been a tough year for retailers so to have them throw their weight behind the amazing work the creative team and DSTLRY are doing means the world. Thank you and much more to come!”
See Pinna’s character concepts below.
