Now that the Summer of Superman is over, it’s time to put the spotlight once again on the Caped Crusader. It’s no exaggeration to say between the Absolute Batman book and the recently relaunched Batman ongoing title from writer Matt Fraction and artist Jorge Jiménez, there’s never been a better time to be a Batman reader. In fact, DC has announced that the aforementiond Batman #1 is returning for a Third Printing with a stunning new cardstock variant cover by Nick Dragotta, plus updated trade dress on Jorge Jiménez’s original main cover available on December 3.

Moreover, the publisher also announced that Batman #2 is getting a Second Printing, arriving November 19 just two weeks from today after the highly anticipated release of Batman #3 now available.
In Batman #3, the Riddler makes his play for arguably the most important item in all of Gotham City, setting off a chain of events that could change everything. With momentum building and fans eager for more, each new issue deepens the mysteries for DC’s Caped Crusader and raises the stakes in Gotham.
Readers can look forward to more exciting developments including the debut of new villains the Minotaur in Batman #4 next month in December and the mysterious Lady Death Man arriving in Batman #5 this January. As Fraction has said in countless interviews, writing the main Batman book is basically a dream and hopes to be able to stay on so he can write the legacy 1000th issue. Based on the success thus far, I think it’s pretty much guaranteed.
