Titan Manga announced in Spring 2025 that it had licensed Roku Souna‘s manga series Gizmo Riser, which is about a society based in inequality (relatable), for English-language translation and adaptation. The English translation of Gizmo Riser is currently scheduled to be released on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at select comic shops and bookstores where Titan Manga is sold, as well as digitally on manga e-reader apps and websites.
Souna’s Gizmo Riser series debuted in May 2024 in Mag Garden‘s Mag Comi, and it ran for 12 issues before ending in May 2025. It has been previously released in Japanese in two book volumes.

Titan Manga describes Gizmo Riser‘s storyline:
In the towering kingdom of Urunaria, society is literally built on inequality. The wealthiest reside at the top, while the poor are confined to the dark, crumbling depths below.
For Kuro, a young slave raised by his uncle in the lowest levels, life offers no future – only labor, loss, and silence. But when his uncle is executed by the state, Kuro inherits a mysterious device: Gizmo – a pair of mechanical gloves with the power to grip, scale, and defy the very system built to crush him.
Armed with nothing but this outlawed tool and his burning desire for freedom, Kuro begins his ascent, both up the tower and against a society that deems him worthless.
Blending sci-fi action with sharp social commentary, Roko Souna’s Gizmo Riser challenges readers to consider the cost of hierarchy and the courage it takes to rise. Perfect for fans of Blame!, Deadman Wonderland, and Made in Abyss, Roku Souna’s daring debut delivers explosive worldbuilding, unforgettable visuals, and a hero who refuses to stay in his place.
Titan Manga has provided The Beat with an exclusive reveal of the English translation’s cover artwork and design, as well as a first-look excerpt from Volume 1.

Gizmo Riser is on sale on February 17, 2026, for $12.99. US-based readers can pre-order the first volume of the series at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Books-A-Million, whereas fans in the UK and Europe can pre-order it from Forbidden Planet.
