Walt Disney alumni and debut comic writer Chris Yates is launching his first creator-owned series, MARCUS WALKER: KINGSLAYER PROTOCOL, teaming with rising artist Simone Ragazzoni, known for work on Robotech: Rick Hunter, Power Rangers Universe, and Dune: House Corrino. The project launched March 3 exclusively on Kickstarter and is already drawing attention thanks to endorsements and variant covers from major names across the industry.
The campaign features exclusive one-of-a-kind covers from New York Times bestsellers Sean Murphy (Batman: White Knight, Tokyo Ghost), Rob Guillory (Chew, Farmhand), as well as Siya Oum (Lady Mechanika, Neo Wonderland) and Kevin Keane (King Spawn, Gunslinger).
MARCUS WALKER: KINGSLAYER PROTOCOL blends large-scale Mech vs. Kaiju action with an deep story about family, legacy, and self-discovery. Set against the backdrop of New Honolulu City, the series follows Marcus Walker as a long-running war between Kaiju and Kingslayer Mechs pushes him into hiding under the protection of his strict and overbearing family. As old secrets tied to his bloodline resurface, Marcus is forced to confront the cost of his choices and the future he may not be able to escape.
