Do you ever watch something, blink, and then ask yourself, “What did I even watch?”
Well, we were fortunate enough to score an exclusive sneak peek of this week’s Best Medicine, and it’s so absolutely outlandish that you’ll just have to see it for yourself.
Seriously, let me gather my thoughts and try to put them into words for you.

FOX’s latest hit series has been an absolute delight, firing on all cylinders since its debut.
And to our absolute delight, FOX has picked up the series for another season.
It means we’ll get even more time to spend with Port Wenn.
Thank goodness, because there’s nothing quite like this small town series, and not having it around for a second would be too much to bear.
Why?
Because Port Wennians are so ridiculously quirky that it’s nearly impossible for them not to lift your spirits.

Sometimes, I chuckle, and other times, I outright belly laugh at the antics on this show.
And our latest sneak peek leans closer to the latter than the former, only because the clip is so absolutely chaotic that you definitely will want to tune into the episode.
For our Martin and Louisa shippers, we have the delightful knowledge that Martin has worked up the nerve to invite Louisa to the annual bird migration over Port Wenn.
It turns out Martin isn’t immune to all the endearing events of this town after all.

But something tells me that things get lost in translation.
What likely should’ve been a date has become a bit of a group activity with Martin’s “mini-me” friend, Aunt Sara, and a sweet elderly woman who gets a bit carried away.
Martin and Louisa are just on the cusp of sharing another heated moment when the kid tagging along with him announces that he has to used to bathroom.
It’s not just the kid, though. Aunt Sarah isn’t exactly the birdwatching, nature type, and she isn’t hiding it.
Frankly, I can’t blame the woman, but the view they’re working with, autumnal in all of its glory, would be enough to change my mind.

Just, maybe not Aunt Sarah’s.
But the real star of this clip is the sweet elderly woman who is totally enraptured by the migration and birdwatching.
She starts singing and talking about warblers.
It’s all charming enough until something so unexpected happens that it leaves you gasping. And then it leaves you gasping for air as you laugh, startled at the absurdity of what you just witnessed.

It’s peak Best Medicine.
And darn if I don’t appreciate how this quirky, cozy show can still have a dark sense of humor, too.
By all means, please check out this clip below, and sound off with your full reaction!
We want to hear all of your thoughts!
Best Medicine returns with an all-new episode tonight at 8/7c on FOX.
