Have you ever wondered why all the doctors at the Pit are so evil?
We were lucky enough to score an exclusive sneak peek of this week’s The Hunting Party, and it highlights yet another evil neuroscientist, making me fearful of doctors, teachers, and researchers.
While Dr. Fairfax may not have worked at the Pit, The Hunting Party Season 2 Episode 7 teaser suggests that he had inside knowledge about it and Shane’s past.

That’s almost as scary, considering Dr. Fairfax’s obsession with determining if nature or nurture shaped the Bay Area Butcher.
It’s the most prolonged intellectual debate — whether your environment and parents play a bigger role or if genetics and brain structure make someone a killer.
Something got lost in transition because it wasn’t an amusing question to ask students.
It was downright creepy and should have made them run in the opposite direction.
My heart went out to Dr. Fairfax’s first victim, Jonny, a young homeless man, who was probably an easy target.

You’d think he would have known better not to trust strangers, but when you’re desperate, you make dumb choices.
He was likely impressed and thought it was a harmless research experiment, never thinking he would meet his death.
What happened to Jonny was creepy and terrifying. We’ve seen some doozies on The Hunting Party, and Dr. Fairfax reminded me of a modern-day Frankenstein.
Dr. Fairfax (David Rasche) seemed positive that he’d change the world with his experiments. What a frightening thought.

I wonder how many poor souls he murdered before the authorities caught him and sent him to the Pit.
If Dr. Sydney Fairfax was that terrifying before the Pit, we’re even more concerned about Shane, who gets kidnapped by the neuroscientist.
Shane has always been curious about the nature-versus-nurture debate and how it relates to serial killers, so it’s likely he approaches the good doctor for answers after learning a bombshell from Col. Lazarus.
If Shane discovers that Sydney Fairfax is mutilating another victim’s brains, he won’t get answers, and he’ll become the next target.

Shane likely won’t be in the best headspace after his confrontation with Lazarus.
Sidney Fairfax looks to be an interesting episode, not only because of his experiments, but because of his knowledge of Shane’s past.
We can’t wait to learn more about the next evil doctor and what motivated him to mutilate brains for research.
