New schemes are forming inside the Big Brother Season 28 house.
After The Toolshed alliance imploded during the Big Brother Season 28 Week 4 eviction, it’s been two weeks of shifting powers and new alliances. No one has rested easily.
Now, we might be in store for a domino effect of plans and counterplans.
After Head of Household Yash nominated Dee, Angela, and Haley for eviction, the week seemed pretty set in stone.
On one side, the house could easily send Haley home.
She narrowly avoided eviction by winning the Big Brother Season 28 Week 5 Blockbuster. She’s repaired some relationships since then, but the tensions are still there.
On the other hand, the houseguests could finally evict a reality TV icon from the game.
Rick Devens avoided the block, but Angela and Dee might be on the eviction block come Thursday. The other players have talked non-stop about voting out an icon.
That is, until a new series of gameplay plans emerged during the evening.
A Golden Power Comes Into Play
As reported by our TV Fanatics, the Power of Veto (POV) was the latest victory in a string of challenge wins.
HOH Yash walked away with the win, securing complete control for the week.
As both the HOH and POV winner, Yash could keep his week the same. In most Big Brother cases, the HOH wants their plans to stay intact before the BB Blockbuster competition.
This move ensures the least blood on their hands.
Yash already nominated Dee, Angela, and Haley for eviction. Unless he’s repaired the damage or pivoted to new targets, the nominees will still harbor animosity toward being nominated.
However, Yash and his new Final 2 partner Kamu have a new plan up their sleeves.
Since the Power of Veto Ceremony isn’t until Monday, the pair are plotting their big plan. Ultimately, they want Dee evicted on Thursday night. To do that, she needs to lose the BB Blockbuster.
Their plan? Use the POV to save Angela and place Barrett on the block.
Yes, you read that right. They want to save Angela in hopes of ensuring that a reality TV icon is evicted on Thursday.
Yash and Kamu don’t see Angela as a physical or social threat. She most likely won’t win the Blockbuster or get the jury votes.
Dee, on the other hand, is a serious physical, social, and strategic threat. They want her gone.
But the most baffling question: why don’t they use the POV to take Haley off the block?!
Kamu and Haley made some amends after Chuk’s eviction. And let’s remind everyone, Haley isn’t one of the reality TV icons.
Her social game is trashed, and most people want her evicted. Haley could prove to be a decent shield, but Yash and Kamu want to hedge their bets with Haley and Barrett fighting against Dee.
There have also been talks from Kamu and Taylor about getting Yash to nominate Devens. But the strategizing keeps going in a circle.
Would they actually go through with their plan?
Diamond Powers Aren’t Forever, But They’re Dangerous
Meanwhile, Dee and Devens are plotting a separate scheme up their sleeves.
Before the nominations, Dee failed to use her BB Bribe power. Yash turned down her offer to take the bribe and not nominate her.
Also, he refused Devens’ offer of going up on the block instead.
Yash was set on Dee and Angela being nominated.
Now, Devens is toying with the idea of using the Diamond Power of Veto to blindside Yash/Kamu. He’s considering saving Dee and putting up Kamu in her place.
By winning the DPOV during the Time Capsule twist, Devens had six weeks to use the power.
For Big Brother newbies: the DPOV is a secret-ish veto that lets him remove a nominee and replace them with a player of his choice. He reveals it after the Golden Power of Veto is used.
Previously, Devens planned to use the DPOV at some point to save the reality TV icons, or to cause chaos before it expired.
Now, he wants to ensure that Yash and Kamu’s plans fail.
We could be seeing a world where no reality TV icons face the vote on Thursday, and Kamu or Haley get evicted. Big Brother really wants us to expect the unexpected!
Does Devens Have The Numbers?
If the pair blunder and save Angela, and Devens places Kamu on the block, the numbers look good for the blindside.
Let’s strategize in a possible world of Haley vs. Kamu vs. Barrett.
Right now, Devens would have the three reality TV icons vote (Devens, Dee, and Angela). They would need five votes to secure the majority in a 9-person vote.
Drew and Mallory would vote to keep Barrett in every instance. They’re friends and allies with him, so that is a given.
And both would convince Melody to vote with them. So, Barrett stays regardless.
A Haley vs. Kamu vote is the more interesting outcome.
The reality TV icons would vote for Kamu, but Taylor and LaTrice would most likely vote out Haley. During LaTrice’s HOH, she formed a new alliance with her former enemy. And Taylor has a stronger working relationship with Kamu.
It’s in their best interests that he stay to fight the icons.
The determining factors would come from Drew, Mallory, and Melody.
Drew is closer with the icons, but Haley spilled to Drew that he was nearly out the door during Lyric’s eviction. The icons played recklessly with his future in the game.
However, Drew is still very tight with Dee, Angela, and Devens. Any working relationship he once had with Kamu is fractured. So, he might take the opportunity to vote out Kamu.
“The Littles” are a package voting deal.
Haley talks a lot of trash about Melody. And let’s not forget, Haley wanted Melody evicted during her HOH. If not for the blindside, she would be gone.
On a personal level, Mallory and Melody would like Haley to go.
However, the pair have discussed at length how dangerous Kamu is as a player. He’s physically strong, won challenges, and he’s been in many powerful alliances.
They distrust him because of how quickly he turned against Haley and Chuk after Lyric’s blindside.
Most likely, they’ll vote out Kamu to get the threat out. If Devens can convince Mallory and Melody, he’ll have achieved one of the biggest blindsides for Big Brother Season 28!
