Ignore the bedhopping.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-25-25 lead with Philip and Gabi’s extracurricular activities, but that boring story is not all there is.
There’s far more exciting trouble brewing. Kristen thought she solved a problem with her false confession, but this plan may be extremely short-lived.
Kristen’s Confession Isn’t Fooling Very Many People
While she might have been able to pull one over on the judge, everyone is already questioning the timing of this confession.
It makes no sense to anyone that Kristen would let Johnny risk jail until the very last second, then swoop in out of nowhere for a Deus ex DiMera (see what I did there?) right before the verdict was read.
She was adamant on the stand that she was innocent.
She insisted when JJ arrested her that he had the wrong woman.
She had a different gun that ballistics ruled out.
And now Salem is supposed to believe that she was the shooter after all.

Chad and Leo Officially Investigate
Leo was suspicious from the get-go.
The same things that don’t add up for everyone else don’t add up for him, and he wants to investigate.
I would rather have JJ in this position. He is more suited to this type of work than being a cop who is barely on screen.
But Leo and Chad trying to get to the truth should be fun, especially since Chad’s loyalties are divided.

Chad has always maintained that he won’t let his ties to the DiMera family interfere with his obligation to search for and report on the truth, but will he be able to make good on that promise?
EJ will do his damnedest to throw him off, and if Chad listens to any of those lies, Leo will pressure him to keep digging. This should be fun!
I doubt EJ can pull the wool over Chad’s eyes for long.
The more interesting question is what will happen once Chad — or anyone — finally learns the truth.
The reason for this entire storyline is that Kristen is trying, in the twisted way that only Kristen can, to protect Rachel’s mental health.
Rachel is 10 years old and has already been involved in several crimes, all of which Kristen covered up because she was afraid of what Child Protective Services would have to say if they knew what was going on.
But she doesn’t want her daughter dragged off in handcuffs for attempted murder or the mental anguish of realizing that she was the one who almost killed EJ and almost sent Johnny to jail.

It’s possible that Chad could agree to protect his niece, but what about Tony and Anna?
If one of them figures this out (especially since Tony acts like Andre most of the time), there’s no telling what they might do.
Anna is allergic to keeping her mouth shut, and Tony is unpredictable these days.
Do you love my unique takes on Days of Our Lives spoilers as much as I love writing them?
If so, speak up. The more people comment on my posts, the more likely I am to be able to keep writing them.
We also have Marlena being pressured into keeping this secret because she wants to protect Rachel’s mental health and ensure she remembers in the safest way possible.
Marlena’s already in a negative headspace because of John’s death and doesn’t need this extra pressure.

She’s also, for reasons I will never understand, Leo’s BFF, and he’s convinced something more is going on, so this could lead to some interesting conversations between the two of them.
Could This Be Why Susan Thinks Marlena Is Being Consumed By Darkness?
I have no idea where this weird Marlena/Susan story is going.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 825-25 say that Susan, again dressed like the new age version of Elsbeth Tascioni, shows up at Marlena’s doorstep and accuses her of being even worse than before.
The implication from the beginning is that Stefano is still alive and somehow influencing Marlena through her dreams.
I won’t go into why that’s so wrong AGAIN, but I will say that I’d rather Marlena’s issue be psychological for once, not supernatural.

I’m More Interested In Whether Brady Will Put The Pieces Together
Brady is not always the brightest character in Salem.
Many, many plots — especially those involving Kristen — needed Brady to be stupid in order to work, so at this point, he’s got a reputation for thinking with what he’s got between his legs and never with his brain.
That said, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-25-25 suggest that Brady might not be so oblivious this time.
He already picked up on Sarah knowing more than she’s saying about Sophia’s baby situation, and he’s also about to confront Kristen.

Brady goes to see Steve this week, but it’s not clear whether he wants his help with the Kristen situation or with figuring out what’s going on with Sophia.
Yes, The Sophia Secret May Finally Be Coming Out Too
Sophia screwed up by referring to her baby as “him” in front of Brady and Sarah.
She claimed it was just a slip of the tongue, but Brady caught Sarah’s reaction and now he knows something’s up.
He’ll want to find out, for Tate’s sake, what really happened to that baby.
But he also has a broken-hearted daughter who doesn’t know that her mother sacrificed her freedom to protect her.
I’m curious about who Brady will prioritize and how he will deal with his kids’ drama… and what he will do if he finds out the truth about Rachel and that Marlena helped cover it up.

Of Course, This Isn’t The First Time This Has Happened In Salem (or to EJ)
I don’t remember exactly when, but Will shot EJ and Lucas confessed so that Will wouldn’t go to jail.
Will was older than Rachel, so the crime was in some ways less shocking, and Lucas was less of a gray character than Kristen.
Still, parents going to jail for their kids is a time-honored tradition in Salem — especially when the children shoot EJ.
That said, I’d like for Rachel to finally get the help she needs, even though in Salem that probably means being shipped off somewhere and coming back as an adult or near-adult three months later.
A Few Other Things Are Going On, But They Aren’t Nearly As Interesting
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-25-25 say:
- Gabi will be unable to choose between Philip and Xander
- Soon after sleeping with Gabi, Philip will flirt with Belle, as if we haven’t been here a billion times before
- Tate will again be stuck in the middle between Holly and a scheming Sophia
- Gwen will have it out with Leo again
None of these spoilers are exciting, as far as I’m concerned, but what do you think?
