Jack and Jennifer have a story beyond their quick visit to their son.
I was afraid they’d pop in and out yet again, but Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 9-08-25 promise otherwise.
In just two months, they’ll be part of a big umbrella story for the soap’s 60th anniversary, and their story this week will probably take steps toward that. Either way, I’m glad they’re sticking around.
Jack and Jennifer Get Unsettling News — But What?
The week of 9-08-25 will start off with Jack and Jennifer getting some disturbing news.
The only thing I can think of is that Mark will get out of prison.
There has been an awful lot of talk, mostly coming from Cat, about Mark’s parole hearing and how she wants Chad to support his release even though Mark tried to murder Chad on Clyde’s orders.
If the parole board sets Mark free, that would certainly qualify as unsettling news!
However, it seems too soon for that, though Days of Our Lives isn’t above rushing from mentions of a parole board meeting to the hearing being over after the weekend.
There’s another option, which wouldn’t be particularly unsettling for me, but would be devastating for Jennifer: learning that Cat and Chad are dating.

Jennifer was in busybody mode from the second she set foot in the Horton house.
She didn’t understand why Julie would respect Chad’s wishes and keep her equally strong opinion to herself, and she has already butted heads with Julie by claiming Doug III was the same type of person as Cat.
So if she gets even a hint that Chad and Cat don’t hate each other, it’s game on.
This is supposed to be a major storyline that will tear the Horton family apart. I wish it wouldn’t.
I’m not a huge fan of Cat, and her initial story was ridiculous.

These doppleganger stories almost always are, but this one was especially silly because Chad and the rest of the family should have seen through Cat’s lies in 30 seconds, but somehow, no one but Jennifer noticed anything amiss.
Anyway, Cat is trying to stop EJ from using the hospital for his evil plans, or at least, find out what’s really going on with him, so she’s not the Hortons’ worst enemy.
She isn’t worth all the energy Jennifer is putting into objecting to her, plus JJ had a good point that should have gone further.
Not only did Jennifer accept Jack despite his checkered past, but she’s completely forgiven JJ for his teenage misbehavior, which landed him in jail, ruined his reputation, broke Jennifer’s heart and trust, and brought shame to the Horton family.
I want more of THAT Jennifer. As much as I love the character, if she’s going to spend the next two months judging Chad and Cat, I’m going to start wishing she’d go back to Boston.

Meanwhile, What’s Going To Happen With Baby Tesoro?
I’m excited about all of the developments in the baby Tesoro storyline.
Unsurprisingly, Leo and Javi want to adopt the baby they’ve been fostering… and it looks like Chanel will too.
Are you a lifelong Days of Our Lives fan? Me too… and I want to keep writing about it.

Of course, reality could throw a monkey wrench into both of these plans, as Brady and Tate get closer to the truth about Sophia’s baby.
I’m digging this new, smarter Brady.

He’s been written for way too long as stupid and unable to put aside his latest lustful feelings for long enough to use his brain, so it’s jarring that he’s so intuitive and intelligent all of a sudden.
Still, I prefer smart heroes to ones who are good-looking but don’t have much going on behind their gorgeous eyes, and now Brady seems to be catching on quickly to lies and manipulations.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 9-08-25 suggest that Brady has somehow figured out that Sophia’s baby was born in Salem, not Chicago two weeks later, as she claimed.
That’ll lead to Sophia’s whole plan unraveling, especially if Brady gets proof.
He may not need it, though. Sophia has been so rattled by the possibility of Brady or Tate finding out the truth that she’ll probably confess if anyone applies the least bit of pressure.
This Investigation Should Put Rumors To Rest, But I’m Worried About Rafe
For some reason, the rumor that Tate isn’t the baby’s biological father won’t die.

Hopefully, a DNA test to prove that Tesoro is Sophia and Tate’s will prove for once and all that Tate is the baby’s father, though, of course, in Salem, the first DNA test often is inaccurate thanks to someone tampering.
Still, at this poin,t it would make no sense for the baby to turn out to be someone else’s.
It would be doubly ridiculous for it to be Aaron’s since he gave zero indications of that possibility when he saw a very pregnant Sophia.
I think it’s more likely that he’ll be roped into some scheme to say the baby is his or try to keep it away from Tate some other way.
Sophia wouldn’t need to go to the extremes she’s gone to if the baby weren’t Tate’s. She could have just offered proof that he wasn’t the father when he started acting like he wasn’t sure about adoption.

Anyway, I’m more worried about Rafe than any of the other characters in this ridiculous scheme.
Rafe’s heart was already broken once when he had to give up baby David, and he would be crushed if he not only had to give Tesoro away, but also give him back to Sophia or Tate.
Sure, Javi and Leo are the baby’s primary caretakers, but Rafe has never gotten over the last loss of a baby so if he had to do it again, it would be devastating for him.
That makes for great soapy drama, but it’ll be so painful.
Of course, we could solve two problems at once if Rafe turns to Cat for comfort during this difficult time, but I have a feeling Sami will be back in town by the time all this comes out.

A Few Other Exciting Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 9-08-25
- Theo returns! I thought he might since they kept mentioning him during the last few weeks. He’s played by a different actor and almost immediately gets into something with Tony (or is it André?) This will be interesting.
- Xander and Philip bond. It seems that fake choking incident led to real feelings of brotherhood for these two.
- Maggie and Julie discuss feelings of loss. One of the best things about the new writers is that they have brought back the quiet family moments, and Julie and Maggie grieving together will make for some powerful drama between the two old friends.
- Kristen is stunned by Rachel. Does Rachel remember shooting EJ? She tells Holly this week that it’s her fault Kristen is in prison, and maybe she means that literally.
