Get ready, NCIS fans — NCIS Season 23 is kicking the doors down (literally) with a high-octane trailer that promises action, heart, and the kind of witty team banter we’ve come to love.
The trailer doesn’t just tease a new case — it launches us straight into Parker’s vendetta-fueled mission to find the woman who killed his father.
And if the early scenes are any indication, he’s not asking for permission.
After a short stint on Mondays, NCIS is reclaiming its rightful place on Tuesdays — now part of an all-NCIS night that includes NCIS: Origins and NCIS: Sydney.
As CBS puts it, Tuesdays are now “Tuesdays of Honor,” with new episodes and a special campaign to support military families and veterans.
But before we salute the real heroes, let’s talk about the trailer. Because Parker… well…
He’s in jail.
That’s right — the very first shot is our Special Agent behind bars, getting the third degree from Director Vance.

“I gave you space. I gave you time. I gave you cover,” Vance tells him, and honestly, the tone is less “disappointed dad” and more “this better be worth it.”
Spoiler alert: It is.
A Personal Mission for Parker
From what we can piece together, Parker’s gone rogue — or at least a little off-script — to investigate Carla Marino, the woman responsible for his father’s death.
“You don’t play by the book,” he says. “You flip the table.”

That line might be the thesis for the entire season.
This isn’t just another case for Parker — it’s personal. And it looks like the team is split between concern and admiration.
When McGee calls their methods “reckless,” Torres says “bold,” and Knight adds “and defective,” it’s peak NCIS group therapy, and we’re here for every second of it.
Sparks, Snark, and Maybe a Little Romance?
The trailer doesn’t just bring the bullets — it brings the banter.

Case in point: a blink-and-you’ll-rewind moment when a mystery man kisses Jessica Knight’s hand, followed by her saying, “Jealousy is a natural response to mere mortals.”
We don’t get long to process it before the shot cuts to Torres admitting, “OK. I admit it.”
Excuse me — are we actually circling around to a Torres/Knight slow burn?
After the fake wedding in NCIS Season 22 Episode 11, it’s clear these two have chemistry to spare — even if Torres did once date her sister. (Look, it’s NCIS. It happens.)

Vance Sets the Tone
As the trailer hits its emotional peak, Vance delivers a voiceover that feels like a mission statement for the season:
“Devoted to duty. Fiercely loyal to the truth. And his team.”
He’s almost certainly talking about Parker — a man who’s constantly walking the line between sticking to the rules and trusting his gut.
Season 23 looks like it’s going to test that balance in a big way.
We’ve been waiting for the incredible Gary Cole to get a storyline he can sink his teeth into, and it has finally arrived. Yay!

Tuesdays of Honor: A Salute Beyond the Screen
While the trailer delivers the thrills, CBS is also using this season premiere to launch the “Tuesdays of Honor” campaign — a collaboration with veteran service organizations TAPS and Team Rubicon, and partners Lovesac and VIZIO.
Every week, the network will honor a deserving veteran or military family with a living room upgrade, complete with on-air recognition and social media spotlights.
It’s a meaningful way to tie the show’s real-life inspiration to the stories we see each week.
And on Veterans Day, we’re getting a crossover event between NCIS and NCIS: Origins. Mark your calendars — that’s November 11, folks.
Watch the full trailer below and get ready to flip some metaphorical tables of your own when NCIS Season 23 premieres Tuesday, October 14, at 8/7c on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
