Just when you thought Christmas in July couldn’t get any better, Hallmark Channel went and delivered the ultimate early gift: a brand-new holiday movie starring Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker!
The surprise teaser aired during Hallmark’s holiday sneak peeks and gave fans their first glimpse of the duo on set for She’s Making a List/
And let’s just say, we’re already checking it twice.
This marks the very first Christmas movie together for Chabert and Walker (can you believe it?!), and their first onscreen reunion since 2018’s My Secret Valentine.
It’s also a significant Hallmark milestone: Lacey’s 16th holiday movie premieres during the 16th annual Countdown to Christmas event.
That’s some seriously sweet symmetry. Who doesn’t love alliteration?
“Bringing Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker together for their first-ever Hallmark Christmas movie is a dream come true for our fans,” said Jennifer Kramer, Vice President of Programming at Hallmark Media.
“She’s Making a List captures the heart, humor, and holiday magic our viewers love, and we can’t wait to share this unforgettable story with them this season.”
So what’s the movie about? Lacey plays Isabel Haynes, a “Naughty or Nice” inspector (yes, that’s really her job), sent to evaluate a mischievous 11-year-old named Charlie Duncan.
But things get complicated when she starts falling for Charlie’s widowed dad, Jason Duncan — played by, you guessed it, Andrew Walker.
Suddenly, following the holiday algorithm doesn’t seem as appealing as following her heart.
“Reuniting with Andrew after all these years to do our first Christmas movie together is such a joy,” said Chabert.
“Andrew brings so much heart, humor, and warmth to every role, and working with him again felt like coming home. I am thrilled to do this one together…finally.”
Walker echoed the sentiment. “What a gift it is to reunite with Lacey seven years after our Valentine’s movie. She truly is the Queen of Christmas, not just for the heart she brings to every role, but for her incredible talent.
“She brings warmth, heart, and comedy with such ease, and she adapts to every role with a grace and talent that makes everyone around her better.”
